Here is just a little information about the area of Sao Paulo we have been serving for the past 8 years.
Camp do Feijao is where the new church began last year and where we will work in 2011.

Sao Paulo is the second-most densely populated city in the world behind New Dehli, of which Guarulhos is a suburb and Camp do Feijao a district.  Guarulhos also recently just passed the 1 million population mark.  Many people come from the north of Brazil hoping to find jobs, not much different than the US population shift to the big cities after WWII.  However, the jobs just aren't there for many and they can choose between abject poverty in the north or abject poverty in Sao Paulo.  They choose Sao Paulo because it is target-rich for crime.

It also makes the fields ripe for a heavenly harvest.  Many look at these people from the north as problematic when the Church should see them as opportunity.
