Day 3 in Brasil

This morning the Mission team divided up into two teams and went out to do street evangelism. After street evangelism this morning we went back to the church to eat lunch, after lunch we went back into groups of three and did street evangelism, delivered food, and house visits. After we finished our mission of evangelism, we attended church at Campo de Feijo where Pastor Bobby brought the message, Adam sang with his guitar, and Arielle gave a testimony about her trip here to Brasil. Today we had about 34 souls to be saved, but from the past few days we have had about 74!! We thank God for allowing us to bring those souls to him! We will continue to save souls after we have left Brasil and returned back into the United States and into the state of Arkansas!

Yours truly,
Arielle Rideout

First Two Days!

Wow! We are here! God's work is being done in a mighty way! Last night, we had an excellent service at Soberana! This morning we met in Campo do Feijao for a social activity at 9. The social project includes free dentistry, eye check ups, etc. We had a waiting room where people came to hear the Gospel of Jesus! This room was attacked by the devil this morning. People were changing the subject to personal beliefs and causing others to not accept Christ. Three people, however, did accept Jesus!  After lunch, this room got to kicking! We saw 13 more people come to Christ in about an hour and half! It was amazing! One man, Roberto, accepted Jesus and we spent some time with him afterwards. We could definitely see a change in his countenance and speech! God is amazing!

Another amazing thing happened with a child outside of the waiting room.  Jonas (Jonah) is a young man that stayed around where some of the team was blowing up balloons and painting faces. He talked to Mrs. Lou and he accepted Christ! He stayed with us almost all day long. And tonight, upon our arrival at the church in Campo do Feijao, we were greeted by this same Jonas that accepted Jesus just hours earlier!

All together there were church services at four churches tonight! Someone accepted Jesus at the church where Bro. Bobby preached!

Needless to say, God is doing an amazing work in Brasil! We are all very excited to be here and be a part of God's plan! Keep us in your prayers!

It's Time...

We have prepared for months.  Done an intense Bible study for the last 30 days.  Learned to walk with God.  And all of our preparation comes down to this.  So now we have to decide.  We can allow God to use us, or we can sit on the sidelines and do nothing.  I think you probably know us well enough to know which one of those we wll do!  The team is completely pumped up and ready to go!  God is going to show up and show out this week.  I am sure of that!

But you have to decide too.  You can pray for us, or just leave us in the back of your minds while we are gone.  This is no "un-important" task.  It is actually the best thing you can do for us!  Please pray that God's will be done in Brasil this week.

Almost time!!

Three days from now at this time we will be on our way to Little Rock.  It's hard to believe the time to leave is so near.  We know in our hearts this will be a great trip!! The devil has been working overtime to put stumbling blocks in our way...everything to health issues to lost passports!  But God is bigger and greater and more powerful and has it all under control!!  The news about the plans being made in Brazil is exciting also. We're going to be busy, but God will give us strength.

Pray for Nikki as she flies to Houston tonight for new visas and on Wednesday as she goes to the Brazilian consulate.  We learned yesterday that in an emergency, you CAN get a new passport in about two hours.  Thankful that God worked it all out.

We are hoping we have the ability to post updates and maybe even pictures once we are in Brazil.

We appreciate your prayers!!
